Even though we don't have a separate JV team, we had a convincing "JV" 9-6 win yesterday! Starters included Kiley Davis (in her first post-injury playing time!), Emma Gurley-Broudo, Kat Greer, Morgan Patrican, Mackenzie Amigo, Juliette Larzelere, Kelly Malon, Caroline Malloy, Danielle Salvucci, Kristen Larocuqe, Katy Aldrich and Ashley Holmes!
Juliette led the offense at center throughout the first half and scored three goals. Ashley Holmes played goal while Katy Aldrich made her debut on the field. Kristen Larocque inspired her defensive teammates to play loudly and with intensity - and prevented numerous shots! Caroline Malloy and Morgan Patrican seemed to be in a constant sprint and were major difference-makers (and Morgan scored our 4th goal). Eden Bellow came off the bench with such fire that even the referee commented on her "agressive" cradling! On offense, Kat, Emma and Kiley made beautiful passes, dodged defenders and took tons of shots.
In the second half, Morgan Patrican moved to center and kept the game at a fever pitch. She scored her second goal and helped keep the ball on offense. Katelyn Ming took the field at attack wing and scored 3 beautiful goals, with our final one dropped in by Emma Gurley-Broudo! Katy took over in goal and was greatly aided by her defensive trifecta of Kristen, Ashley and Danielle.
