Viking Pride

I am so proud of this team. After an incredibly difficult week they came onto the field with intensity, focus and spirit – and earned a great 12-11 win! Captains and seniors Eliza, Eden and Juliette were leaders on and off the field and scored 5, 4, and 1 goals respectively. Rounding out our goals were Krissy (who scared all of us with a terrific fall & quick recovery) and Kiley with one hard-won goal each. Maxie played a wonderful game in goal and fought back from half-time disappointment to a huge smile at game’s end. Kiley, Mackenzie and Danielle played tirelessly and each showed significant improvement from last season. Lilly took many beautiful draws, while Caroline, Kristen and Kelly helped made excellent transitions from defense to offense. Our defense continues to be anchored by the ‘trifecta’ of Taylor, Sarah and Amanda, with the great addition of first time player Lucia. Also making their first appearance as lacrosse players were Morgan, Savannah, Isabel and Lea who ran fearlessly onto the field and made some great plays. Cheering them on were Katy, Jenna, Stephanie, Rachel and Emmy – all of who are sure to be featured in my next posts. Thanks to all of you for coming out (or for reading on)!
